Through its implementation of the Civil Aviation Infrastructure Plan (SIL), this section is responsible for creating the area planning prerequisites for the construction and operation of aviation facilities (airports and air traffic control installations). It deals with applications for operating licences and permits, planning approvals for buildings and installations, and applications for the approval of operating regulations for airports. It also supervises airports in those areas that are not of relevance to safety and security.
