Restricted acceptance of ELT self-tests from 1 May 2026
Since 1 May 2026, the FOCA has no longer been receiving daily reports of ELT self-tests from the CNES (FMCC Toulouse).
For this reason, we are currently unable to confirm on a case-by-case basis whether self-tests carried out since that date have been successfully received by the Cospas-Sarsat system.
We are in contact with the CNES in Toulouse to restore the transmission of self-test data. The possibility of providing retrospective confirmation of ELT self-tests for the period in question is being investigated.

Important: Emergency calls or actual activations of ELT devices are not affected by this. The Cospas-Sarsat system continues to handle emergencies without restriction.
