Das BAZL veröffentlicht zu den Betriebsarten sogenanntes «Guidance Material/Information (GM/INFO)», welche dem Operator helfen sollen die nötigen Nachweise und Dokumente bereitzustellen, Prozeduren und Trainings zu definieren und das OM-System entsprechend anzupassen.
GM/INFOs mit dem Zusatz «Certification Leaflet (CL)» beinhalten eine Checkliste, die sowohl von den Autoren als auch von den Inspektoren verwendet wird. Zudem enthalten sie viele Lösungsvorschläge, die übernommen und angepasst werden können. Ziel ist es, den Zulassungsprozess zu beschleunigen.
