Chief of Aerodrome

The aerodrome operator shall appoint a chief of aerodrome. The basic rights and responsibilities are specified in the ordinance on aviation infrastructure (VIL), and the Federal Department's ordinance on chiefs of aerodromes.

Federal Office of Civil Aviation FOCA approves the appointment of the chief of aerodrome, if the person concerned complies with the relevant provisions pertaining to aerodrome requirements and aviation knowledge.
