English language proficiency for vehicle drivers on the manoeuvring area
Based on ADR.OPS.B.029 point (g) from Regulation (EU) 139/2014, FOCA has conducted a safety assessment for the aerodromes LSZH, LSGG, LSZB, LSZR, and LSZA, taking into account local procedures, concluding that an acceptable level of safety is ensured at these aerodromes even without the need for drivers on the manoeuvring area to demonstrate their English language proficiency for radio communication purposes with the air traffic services unit of the aerodrome. For this reason, FOCA has granted the above-mentioned aerodromes a derogation, exempting drivers on the manoeuvring area from having to demonstrate English language proficiency.
