3. Swiss Aviation Safety and Operations Conference (SASOC) 2026
On Friday, 8 May 2026, the 3rd Swiss Aviation Safety and Operations Conference (SASOC) took place. More than 200 experts from organisations within the Swiss aviation industry, as well as representatives from the Federal Office of Civil Aviation (FOCA), attended the conference.
During the morning, the experts were given an overview of safety in Swiss civil aviation, as well as updates on flight operations and technology. Leon Sze, Chief Medical Officer at the FOCA, also gave a presentation on the topic of ‘mental health’. Finally, FOCA Director Francine Zimmermann addressed the audience with her key messages.
In the afternoon, the more than 200 participants discussed specific topics relating to supervision (complex aircraft, helicopters, flight schools and light aviation, and technical matters) as well as safety and risk management.
