Safety Promotion

Under the heading ‘stay safe!’, the FOCA provides a summary of safety-related information for the aviation community. This includes lessons learned from occurrences and the FOCA’s supervisory activities, but also tips on how to stay safe in the air.

• Stay Safe

  Social Media Stay Safe

  Stay safe is a social media platform where different stakeholders from General Aviation meet and inform about Safety. Since FOCA is interested in an interactive communication with its target groups, it launched its Facebook channel Stay Safe in 2013.

  stay safe ! Campaign

  Under the heading stay safe! Campaign, the FOCA regularly publishes material such as posters, flyers and brochures. These are intended to raise awareness of current safety-related issues and provide general tips for safe flying.

• Recommendations (SAND)

  Here the FOCA publishes information, recommendations and instructions based on the evaluation of various data. The recommendations are intended to raise the awareness of the aviation community for specific issues, to provide instructions on flight behaviour or a reminder of basic rules of conduct.
  
  Safety Awareness Notification Data (SAND) are a means of passing on FOCA recommendations. SAND contain information and instructions, which do not correspond to the criteria of an airworthiness directive (AD), but which are still important enough to be passed on to interested parties in civil aviation.
