Swiss training organisations that want to train and examine maintenance personnel have to obtain a licence from the Federal Office of Civil Aviation (FOCA).
Based on the European regulations that are applicable in Switzerland, the relevant inspectors of the FOCA are responsible for licensing training organisations for maintenance personnel.
Organisations exist which provide basic training, type rating training or a combination of both.
