© FOCA

Persons who work in the aviation industry and certify the maintenance, repair and inspection of aircraft require a licence to do so. The licence is either issued by the FOCA or is recognised under international agreements.

The FOCA can only issue or transfer a licence to a person with Swiss citizenship or who is employed in a maintenance organisation approved by the FOCA.

EASA Part-66 licence: Certificates for aircraft maintenance personnel are issued on the basis of Annex III of Regulation (EC) No 1321/2014 (EASA Part-66). These authorise the holder to carry out and certify certain maintenance work on aircraft that fall within the scope of the EU regulations (EASA aircraft).
