This section is responsible for the certification and approval of aircraft in accordance with the applicable environmental standards. It manages the relevant databases, and produces and evaluates noise maps and pollution inventories. It is also actively involved in the ongoing development of environmental principles and standards for civil aviation, both at home and in the international arena.
