The Training Organisations and Light Aircraft Operations section is responsible for the ongoing supervision of all training institutions (Approved Training Organisations ATO) for all large and small fixed-wing aircraft, helicopters and balloons, as well as for the supervision of flight simulators and their operation.
The section is further responsible for ensuring and monitoring the delegated supervision of hang-gliders, parachute jumps and Declared Training Organisations (DTO). It assesses and defines accident prevention measures with respect to accident reports and their respective safety recommendations (ie. Air Traffic Incident Reports ATIR and Occurrence Reports OR).
