This section supervises air traffic control and meteorological services, and is also responsible for monitoring the training and licensing of ATC personnel. Furthermore, it inspects both the technical and the safety aspects of take-off and landing procedures at Swiss airports and airfields. This also includes the safety of both participants and spectators at air shows open to the public.
