The Unmanned Aircraft Systems UAS organisational unit deals with authorisation and surveillance with regard to complex drone operations, thereby enabling the safe integration of unmanned aerial vehicles into the Swiss aviation system. Moreover, the UAS organisational unit deals with other UAS-related projects, such as the further development of the Specific Operations Risk Assessment SORA methodology, and is ultimately responsible for the implementation of the various U-space services.
