Airworthiness Directives are publications from the responsible authority (e.g. FOCA, EASA, FAA) related to airworthiness and maintenance of aircraft and aircraft parts. It contains measures which must be accomplished and the related periods to preserve their airworthiness. These technical information are addressed to operators, continuing airworthiness management organizations (CAMO) and maintenance organizations of the affected aircraft. Starting from 1st January 2009 the operator is obligated to inform himself actively and regularly about recently issued ADs for aircraft, engines, propellers and appliances.
In place of the feeds by letter post, since 1st January 2009, all ADs will only be published as an original AD-version from the state of design (i.e. without HB- cover sheet) on the FOCA webpage.
The aircraft operator has the possibility, independent of which aircraft it concerns, to search up-to-date Airworthiness Directive information for his aircraft, engine, propeller and appliances. The search engine includes as well a search against HB registry.
(Attention: Appliance-AD cannot be assigned to a HB-registration).
