Air travel for people with disabilities and people with reduced mobility

The rights of people with disabilities
and people with reduced mobility when travelling by air

People with reduced mobility are people
who find it hard to walk.

For example, they need a wheeled walking frame to walk.

There is an ordinance on the rights of people with disabilities
and people with reduced mobility when travelling by air.
Airports and airline companies must comply with this ordinance.

The main points of this ordinance are as follows:

  • People with disabilities and people with reduced mobility
have the same rights when travelling by air as everyone else.
  • Airports and airline companies in Europe and Switzerland
must provide assistance to people with disabilities
    and people with reduced mobility.
This support is provided to people for free.
