SASCON '11: Safety Culture "Best Practice"

The Swiss Aviation Safety Conference (SASCON) 2011 provided a platform to the Swiss aviation industry to present and exchange examples of “best practices” especially in terms of understanding, measurement and development of a robust safety culture.

The effectiveness of Safety Management Systems (SMS) strongly depends on safety culture, as it is the way safety is perceived, valued and prioritized in an organization. “Safety Culture” is a vital condition to a well functioning SMS and therefore does have a direct impact on safety performance! The SASCON ’11 provided a platform to the Swiss aviation industry to present and exchange examples of “best practices” especially in terms of understanding, measurement and development of a robust safety culture. The program was supported by (inter-)nationally renowned experts in the field.
