In order to operate the aircraft, all holders of an aircraft entered in the Swiss Aircraft Register are required to submit a certificate for a third party liability insurance on earth (FOCA Form 50.042.0) as proof of liability insurance cover. In the case of a joint holdership, each registered holder must be listed on the liability and passenger insurance certificate. The insurance certificate must comply with the applicable legal requirements and be issued and signed by a registered insurance company. Without valid proof of insurance, approval of airworthiness cannot be granted.
