The annual fee for ongoing oversight activities is due at the end of each year. This is stipulated in the Article 16 para 7 of the Ordinance of 28 September 2007 on the Fees charged by the Federal Office of Civil Aviation (FeeO-FOCA; SR 748.112.11).

Below you will find some additional information about the annual fee:
- The invoice for the annual fee is sent to the aircraft holder entered in the Swiss Aircraft Register at the end of the year.
- If there is a change of holder during the current year, the FOCA will not issue any further invoice. If necessary, a pro rata division of the costs must be agreed independently by the former and the new holder.
- If the aircraft is deregistered before 30 June of the current year, half of the annual fee will be credited to the aircraft holder entered in the Swiss Aircraft Register at the time of deregistration.
- A credit note for half of the annual fee for suspensions will only be issued if the aircraft is/ has been suspended for six months within the calendar year and the aircraft documents (CofA/ R-CofA/ PtF) are/were deposited with the FOCA.
- If the annual fee is not paid within the specified period, the aircraft may be deleted from the Swiss Aircraft Register.
Please note that fees for any necessary technical inspections will be invoiced separately from this annual fee.
