Suspension and reinstatement of aircraft registration

If you wish to formally suspend your aircraft, please send us the original certificate of airworthiness, restricted certificate of airworthiness or the original permit to fly. We will send you a letter of confirmation, which you can use to apply for a premium reduction from your insurer.

To reinstate your aircraft, we require a valid insurance certificate/a notice of reinstatement. The Airworthiness Review Certificate (ARC) or the inspection statement must be valid to reinstate the registration.

A credit note for half of the annual fee for suspensions will only be issued if the aircraft is/ has been suspended for six months within the calendar year and the aircraft documents (CofA/ Restriced CofA/ PtF) are/were deposited with the FOCA.
